HRBC Music

The Music Ministry at Haltom Road Baptist Church exists to provide meaningful musical experiences that will help believers to worship God, to commit themselves to Jesus Christ and to love, serve and care for those outside the church. We emphasize purposeful corporate worship experiences that give all ages in the congregation an opportunity to express adoration, praise, devotion, and commitment to God and to enjoy the rich fellowship we have as believers.

There are various opportunities to connect through the music ministry:

Salt 'n Light Production Co. ministers to children in first through sixth grades. They meet on Sundays @ 5:00 PM and have a week-long Music Camp in the summer. They are lead by our Children's Minister, Rachel Jones, a talented teacher with a music education degree from Texas Christian University. Rachel and her teachers have a great love for children and a great desire to see them develop spiritually, physically, musically, and socially.

Preschool Salt 'n Light ministers to children from birth through and Kindergarten and meet Sunday evenings from 6 to 7 PM. Besides musical skills the children are also taught Biblical truths and participate in various activities such as drama, arts and crafts, and playing instruments.

The Sanctuary Choir is the primary worship leadership ensemble for each worship service. The choir rehearses each Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00 PM. In addition to leading in worship each Sunday, the choir also presents yearly Christmas and Easter musicals, including the annual Dinner Theater.

The Instrumental Ensemble plays for the morning worship services and is made up of musicians from both the adult and youth departments. A variety of instruments are employed, brass, woodwinds and strings as well as guitars, piano and organ. This group is open to anyone with at least two years of playing experience. The Instrumental ensemble meets Sunday mornings at 8:45 AM.

The Drama Ministry provides those with an interest in drama the opportunity to use their skills in proclaiming the Gospel. In addition many with ancillary skills like, construction, costumes, makeup, sewing, sound, lighting, advertisement, choreography, painting, as well as singing and acting, find a use for their God-given talents.
